Get help writing and publishing your book
If you want to write a book but can’t seem to start, then this Writing Camp is made for you.
The course will guide you through the process – from concept to completion. It’s time to publish your book and make a dream come true with me and other people like you by your side.
Is this you?
- I’m not sure I’m good enough.
- I don’t have the time.
- I’m worried about the critique I might receive.
- I’m not sure I’ll finish it.
- What if my book doesn’t get published?
And do you wish that:
- – someone would tell you that you’re good enough?
- – you could get yourself organised and finish your book?
- – you could receive help to handle critique (if you get any)?
- – you could get help to reach the finish line (even if you give up sometimes)?
- – your book would definitely be published, whether by you or a publisher?
Writing Camp is your chance to make your dream to publish a book come true.
Writing Camp is a community where we write together. One step at a time, you’ll finish, publish, release, and market your book to make sure it sells.
We’ll write together every week, switching it up between the day and the evening, so everyone has a chance to join. We’ll have group sessions, where we’ll share our knowledge and experiences with the writing, publication, and marketing processes.
We’ll get to know each other, and you’ll become part of a small community of other aspiring authors with whom you can chat.
Our group sessions will give you writing tools and techniques to make the process easier, and you can get feedback on your writing from the community.
Workshops
Every other month, we have a workshop with a writer who tells their story and answers your questions. You’ll also meet an editor and learn how they work, not to mention a publishing manager who will tell you more about what publishers are looking for.
We record all Workshops, so you can see them if you aren’t attending live.
Does that sound like you?
Imagine this:
There’s a delivery at the door. You sign for it and bring the parcel inside, where you open it on the kitchen table – to find your new book.
You think to yourself that this is the best day of your life, and you take in the smell of the freshly printed ink as you flip through the pages.
It’s a magical moment, and you’re overcome with pride. It’s YOUR book, and it’s out tomorrow.

What you get as a member:
Onboarding
A personal conversation with me, where we’ll go through your book and talk about why and for whom you want to write it. We’ll inspect your fear and turn “I’m not good enough” into “I can do this” – and I’ll give you some tools to help you stay motivated and skip the procrastination.
Write together
Your neurons mirror the people around you. Watching other people write increases your own productivity! Writing with others helps to improve your focus. We’re all in this together!
We’ll start each writing session by sharing our progress in the past week, followed by 30 minutes of uninterrupted writing. Before we leave each other, we’ll set our writing commitments for the upcoming week.
Writing exercises
There’s a new writing exercise to boost your creativity and improve your writing every week. We’ll share what we’ve written and how the exercise has benefited us in the community.
Workshops
Six times a year, we’ll be visited by either an author or an expert from the publishing industry, who will share their knowledge and expertise and answer your questions. Meet an editor and hear more about what they do, and get to know a publisher, who will tell you what publishers are looking for.
All Workshops are recorded, so you can watch them even if you can’t attend live.
Network
You’ll get access to our closed community of other aspiring authors, so you’re never alone in the writing process. We’re in this together because we’re all headed for the same destination. (We don’t use Facebook/Slack for the group).
I’ll write with you.
Your writing coach, René Hjetting
My goal is to help you from concept to publication and make sure your book sells. I’ve been helping authors and publishers market their books for the past two decades.
English is my second language, so I know what writing in multiple languages entails and the challenges that come up in translation, etc.
Since 2014, I’ve been helping new and experienced authors publish their books, guiding them through the process from concept to completion.
I’ve published two non-fiction and two children’s books in Denmark and two non-fiction books in English for the international market.
I love books – and I’m passionate about helping others get their message out there.
